Caroline’s Obituary Caroline N. Cahill, 61, went home to be with The Lord Saturday, April 25th, 2020. Caroline was born in New Orleans but considered Marietta her home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later time. “Ms. Caroline” served as the Reading Instructor for the John Knox Presbyterian Christian After School Academy in Marietta for the past 10 years. Her gentle, but enthusiastic engagement with each child helped foster a love of books and reading. Caroline’s ability to see each child as individual and important, to recognize their potential and their gifts, and to be the example of being Christ’s servant were what made her so special to each child, parent and staff member that shared in her life. A “cheerful giver” describes Caroline as she took great joy in providing gifts of love to co-workers, friends and those in need – be it a dinner if you were sick, a card if you were sad, a call to offer a listening ear, or her best gift – hugs! She graduated from Georgia State University cum laude with a BA in Journalism and Film. Caroline loved The Lord JESUS with all her heart and carried HIS presence wherever she went. She was such a wonderful sister, aunt and friend. We love you! Caroline was preceded in death by her mother George-Ann Davidson Cahill, second mom Isabelle “Bell” Baptiste, Father William Preston Cahill, Stepmother Tedie Meade Hodges Cahill, and brother Edward Davidson Cahill. Caroline is survived by sisters Marion Cahill Vargas, Forrest E. Cahill, Corinne A. Cahill and brother William P. Cahill. Nieces Kaitlyn Cahill, Tedie Cahill, Cici Cahill, Hannah Cahill and Abby Cahill. Her extended family Carlys Guillot (Carlton), Jack Hodges Jr (Kristine), Harold Meade Hodges (Shirley), John David Hodges (Audrianna), Ann Hodges Simon and their beautiful families. Special friends In Christ Staci Bushey, Chris Brink and Lauren Martin.
