Obituary Burton Bowling, 80, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020. He was born January 9, 1940 in Clay County, Kentucky, son of the late Pierce and Manda (Couch) Bowling. Burton enjoyed flea markets, gardening, and antiquing. He loved to travel. He worked as the Head Grocery Clerk at Kroger and then continued to work at the Hollywood Casino after retirement. He is survived by his loving wife, Vicki Bowling of Aurora, IN, 2 sons, Cyril (Kristina Carlton) Nordhoff of Lawrenceburg, IN, Randy Bowling of Dillsboro, IN; 4 daughters, Michelle (Chris) Goff of Lawrenceburg, IN, Tina Nordhoff of Lawrenceburg, IN, Tara (Jason) Rogers of Aurora, IN, Mandy Main of Aurora, IN; 2 brothers, Alza Bowling of Ft Wayne, IN, Seldon Bowling of Lawrenceburg, IN; 19 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and his loving Lemon Beagle, Cinnamon. He was preceded in death by his father, Pierce Bowling, mother, Manda Bowling, brother, Alford Bowling, and his sister, Sadie Abner. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Due to the current situation dealing with COVID-19, we are following the directives from Governor Holcomb and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention concerning large events and mass gatherings. The family deeply appreciates the support and love shown from friends, but the health and well being of everyone in our community is of top priority.
