Brenda’s Obituary Brenda Crowley, 66, of Scottsburg, IN, passed away at 1:05 AM on Monday, April 6, 2020, at Clark Memorial Hospital. Brenda was born on Wednesday, December 30, 1953, in Scottsburg, IN. She was the daughter of Elza Shouse and Lillian (Baker) Shouse, who are both deceased. Brenda was a 1972 Austin High School graduate and a graduate of nursing school. She worked as a long term care nurse for over 40 years and retired from Covered Bridge Health Care Campus in Seymour, IN. Brenda was a member of the Chelsea Church of God. She was a prayer warrior, steadfast in her prayers for others and read her Bible faithfully. She loved her family and grandkids and tried to spend as much time with them as possible. Brenda was a strong, loving, and caring person who checked on others. She enjoyed working in her flower gardens, shopping, and interior decorating. In 2016, Brenda was an organ recipient, feeling blessed with a second chance of life, she lived each day to its fullest by being kind and being a blessing to others. Survivors include 2 children, 1 daughter, Christy (Steve) Hall of Scottsburg, IN, 1 son, Josh (Crystal) Smith of Austin, IN, 3 grandchildren, Duncan Hall, Malaki Smith, and Makinzi Smith, 3 siblings, twin sisters, Donna (Howard) Swaim of Terre Haute, IN and Linda Brunning of North Richland Hills, TX, Deva Shouse of Sullivan, IN and nieces and nephews. Cremation services were entrusted to Adams Family Funeral Home & Crematory in Scottsburg with private graveside services to be conducted by Pastor Terry Eversole at Scottsburg Cemetery.
