Pasternak, age 85 of Mio, Michigan, passed away at her home on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Beverly was born in Standish, Michigan on February 19, 1935 to Ernest and Eva (Kibby) Armstrong. She had lived in Birch Run, Michigan, and married Paul Pasternak 45 years ago. Beverly moved with Paul from Saginaw, Michigan to Mio, Michigan, and together they owned and operated Walker’s Bar and Restaurant, beginning on December 1, 1976. Beverly was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Mio. She had enjoyed rafting down the river, berry picking, and dune buggy riding. Beverly is survived by her husband Paul Pasternak of Mio, MI; her daughter Linda (Dennis) Ellis of Oscoda, MI; her stepchildren: Susan Pasternak and Paul Pasternak; her sisters: Betty Orr and Virginia Zeigel; her brother Terry (Kris) Armstrong of Cheboygan, MI; 2 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, and her special friend and caregiver Mary Yoder. She was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter Brenda, her stepson Tom Pasternak, and her brother Dwayne Armstrong. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at a later date at St. Mary Catholic Church, Mio, MI, with Burial of Ashes taking place at Mentor Township Cemetery, Mio, Michigan.
