Bernice’s Obituary Ziegler, Bernice Louise (nee Jarzabek), passed away, Saturday, April 25, 2020. Beloved wife of the late Leon Maurice Ziegler; dearest mother of Diana (Duke) Ziegler-Haydon, Patricia (David) Fox and the late David (survived by Janie) Ziegler; dear grandmother of Bryan and Brad Ziegler, Caleb (Joanna) and Beau Haydon and Mikaela, Branson and the late Patrick Fox; our dear sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt and friend. Our beloved Bernice, Mom, Grandmother, Mother-in Law, Sister-in-Law, Aunt and friend lived a long full brave life. She was a talented homemaker who loved cooking, gardening, sewing and crafting. Her daughters and daughter-in-law are forever grateful for her instruction in these skills. She loved her family fiercely. The grandchildren all have their own special memories of Grandma “spoiling them rotten.” She was known by all for her dry humor, silly antics and playfulness. This is the Bernice we will carry in our memories. These qualities were a part of her personality for all her life but in the last several years were greatly diminished by dementia. As a family we grieved the gradual loss of the Mother, Grandmother we once knew. If you are considering a memorial contribution, our family would like to suggest a donation made to the Alzheimer’s Association. If you were considering sending flowers, please send a bouquet to one of your own loved ones instead or consider purchasing or gathering a bouquet for yourself and think of our lovely Bernice as you enjoy their beauty. Services: A private service will be attended by immediate family due to current gathering restrictions at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory. Interment Mount Hope Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association. A celebration of life gathering will take place at a later date.
