Albert’s Obituary Albert William McKinnon 82, of Granite City passed away Sunday, April 26, 2020 at his home with his family by his side. He was born March 3, 1938 in Irondale, MO to General and Lena Maude (nee: Wilson) McKinnon. He married Marva Runkel January 17, 1959 in Honolulu, HI. Albert served his country for eight years in the Marine Corps. He was retired from Georgia Pacific in Mt. Olive, where he worked for 31 years. In his free time he enjoyed many hobbies; playing the drums, photography and reading and writing. He loved his grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of AMVETS Post 204 in Madison. He is survived by his wife, Mava McKinnon of Granite city; two daughters, Dawn McKinnon-Brewer and Shawn Brewer of Granite City; son, Bill (Tina) McKinnon of Granite City; four grandchildren, Tasha, Steffane, Kasey and Paige; great grandchildren, London, Ava, Sophie, Ophelia, Vivienne and a sister, Beverly Brown of St. Louis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Judith Smith and Marilyn Planter. Cremation services entrusted to Wojstrom Funeral Home & Crematory in Granite City.
