Wanda’s Obituary Funeral services for Mrs. Wanda Faye Barkley will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at Selma Baptist Church, Georgetown, with Reverend Joe Bruce officiating. Interment will follow in Georgetown Cemetery, under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Pineville. Mrs. Barkley, 79, of Georgetown, entered eternal rest on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at Tioga Community Care Center, Tioga, LA. She was a retired Certified Nursing Assistant from Rapides Regional Medical Center and a member of Selma Baptist Church in Georgetown. She enjoyed fishing in her free time and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elena Reed; her husband, Prentice Barkley; one son, Mickey Faircloth; one brother, Joe Reed and two daughters-in-law, Helen Faircloth and Robin Faircloth. Those left to mourn her loss and cherish her memory include two sons, Ray Faircloth, of Dry Prong and John Faircloth, of Georgetown; two sisters, Edith Thompson, of Pineville and Bessie Foreman, of Kentucky; four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Friends may call at Selma Baptist Church, Georgetown, on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, March 12, 2020 at 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
