David Morris Trotter, 74, of Melbourne, FL, passed away on Monday, March 2nd. He was born in Plainfield City, NJ on April 16th, 1945 to the late Morris & Helen Trotter. He graduated North Plainfield High School in 1963 and then enlisted into the United States Navy. He served 4 years in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1971. Dave had retired to Melbourne, FL and worked part time at Ace Hardware off Wickham Dr. where he was widely known throughout the community as the helpful hardware man. He is survived by his brothers James Trotter of Sinking Spring, PA & Richard Trotter of Somerset, NJ; son, Mark David Trotter of Palm City, FL & daughter, Michele C. Trotter of Melbourne, FL; one grandson, Stone B. Trotter of Palm City, FL. Dave’s final wishes were to be cremated and his final resting place to be at the national cemetery in Cape Canaveral, FL with an Honor Guard ceremony. In lieu of flowers, the Trotter family is requesting that donations be made in Dave’s honor to an Veterans organization of the donor choice.
