Obituary Sylvia Carrigan age 57, passed away Monday, March 16, 2020 at her Portland home. She enjoyed crafts and wrote over 300 poems. She was a member of the Portland Eagles Lodge. Sylvia Carrigan was born August 24, 1962 in Portland, Indiana the daughter of Donald and Nellie (Sheffer) Renner. She was married on June 20, 2009 to Fred Carrigan. Survivors Include: Her beloved husband- Fred Carrigan, Portland, Indiana 4 Daughters- Libby Rozelle (husband-Ronnie), Hartford City, Indiana, Takoa Duff (Husband-Mathew), Portland, Indiana, Jessica Ochoa, Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Mariah Wetz, Pennville, Indiana 1 Step Son- Kyle Carrigan (wife-Rosa), Portland, Indiana 1 Step Daughter- Kayla Arnold, North Webster, Indiana 4 Brothers- Butch, Charles, Ronald, and David Renner 2 Sisters- Diane Renner and Marla Patterson 9 Grandchildren Due to health precautions designated by the State of Indiana, Private visitation and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 in the Williamson-Spencer and Penrod Funeral Home in Portland. Rev. Phil Jellison will officiate the services. Private burial for the family will take place on Wednesday in Salamonia Cemetery, southeast of Portland. Memorials may be directed to Riley Children’s Hospital.
