Samuel’s Obituary Samuel W. Jennings, 82, of Moweaqua, died March 13, 2020 in Decatur Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2020 in Pleasant View Cemetery, Assumption, IL. Visitation will be 12:30 until service time in Seitz Funeral Home, Assumption. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Samuel was born January 29, 1938 in Kingsport, TN, the son of Ernest and Pauline (Maples) Jennings. He married Kay Anderson Gregory on June 12, 1993 in Assumption, IL. She survives. Samuel served in both, the United States Army and Air Force. Surviving is his wife Kay; step-sons: Scot (Wendy) Gregory of Moweaqua, IL and Michael (Mendie) Gregory of Greenville, NC; step-daughters: Beth (Keith) Thrasher and Stephanie (Sean) Highley, all of Moweaqua, IL; 2 granddaughters, Brittany and Danielle Jennings of Crystal Lake, IL; many step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren and brother, David Jennings of Nashville, TN. Preceding him in death are his parents; son, Samuel Jennings; daughter, Pamela Jennings and two brothers, Paul and Charles Jennings. Read More
