Ruth’s Obituary Ruth Smith,88, died March 28, 2020 in Edmond, Oklahoma. She was born October 24, 1931 to Horace Melvin and Aletha Robertson in Springhill community, Bowie County. She was a member of Walnut Church of Christ of Texarkana. She is preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, Norman, Milton, Bill, Joe, and Horace Robertson; a sister, Shirley Bolton and husband George Edward Smith. Mrs. Smith leaves behind a son and daughter in law, Ron and Darla Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Grandchildren, Jennifer and Evan Brandell of Edmond, Oklahoma; Cody and Rachel Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; and Brian Smith of Long Beach, California; four Great Grandchildren, Ethan and Jalynne Brandell; Campbell and Palmer Smith; one brother, Don Robertson of Texarkana; and a host of other relatives. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Walnut Church of Christ, Specifically for the Beds for Kids Program, 2720 Moore’s Lane, Texarkana, TX 75503. A private family service will be April 3, 2020 at 10:00 AM. Due to the current health situation, services will be limited to a small private family gathering. For those who cannot attend, services will be broadcast live at 10 AM Wednesday, April 3, 2020, at www.facebook.com/texarkanafuneralhome/.
