Ruby Louise Stump, 86, passed away at Witham Memorial Hospital in Lebanon, Indiana on Tuesday, March 10, 2020. She was born on February 3, 1934 in Whitestown, Indiana; a daughter of the late Oliver D. and Iona M. (Pitts) Byrkett. Louise was a lifelong resident of Boone County and a 1952 graduate of Lebanon High School. On December 4, 1953, she was married to James L Stump in Lebanon, Indiana; he passed away on September 22, 2016. She was employed with the clerk’s office at the Boone County Courthouse for many years. Louise loved reading, attending her grandkids activities and gardening. She was devoted to her family and cherished her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Survivors include her children: Donald L. Stump and wife Amelia – Glendale, Arizona Cindy L. Oats and husband, Kenny – Thorntown, Indiana Eric L. Stump – Lebanon, Indiana Eight Grandchildren Twelve Great Grandchildren Two Great-Great Granddaughters Brother: Russell Byrkett and wife, Lois of Seymour, Indiana Sisters: Dorothy Jones of Indianapolis Emma Shelton of Lebanon Several Nieces and Nephews In addition to her parents and husband, Louise was preceded in death by two brothers, a sister and one grandson. Visitation is planned for Thursday, March 12, 2020 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Myers Mortuary, 1502 North Lebanon Street, Lebanon, Indiana. Private Interment will be held at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Thorntown, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her honor to the Senior Citizens of Lebanon, 707 South Lebanon Street, Lebanon, IN or the charity of the donor’s choice.
