Roy Etheridge, Sr. age 93 of Beaver Creek, AL died Thursday, March 19, 2020 at his home. He was born May 25, 1926 in Sweet Water and was retired a cotton farmer. He was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and was a World War II, US Army, 15 Fighter Group veteran. He is survived by his wife, Anna Etheridge of Beaver Creek, married 68 years: two sons, Roy (Wendy) Etheridge, Jr. of Thomaston; and Bob (Deborah) Etheridge of Beaver Creek; grandchildren, Trey (Ruth) Etheridge and Anna Elizabeth (Morgan) Autery; and five great grandchildren, Lane and Walt Etheridge, and Tsianina, Bailey, and Sadie Autery. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Betty Etheridge; three brothers, William Etheridge, Cecil “Bug” Etheridge, and Henri Etheridge; five sisters, Sadie Etheridge, Mary Etheridge, Jimmy Mayton, Sara Nolan, and Elma “Dee” Glass; and granddaughter, Cheyenne Etheridge. Graveside funeral services will be held at Beaver Creek Cemetery on Saturday, March 21, 2020 at 11:00 am with Rev. Sidney B. Hill and Rev. Lister Hill officiating.
