Robert G. Cook, 83, of West Lafayette, formerly of Monticello, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2020 at Heritage Healthcare in Lafayette. He was born December 24, 1936 in Celia, KY, to the late Alvin Lee Cook Sr. and late Cleo Marie Aimmons. On July 19, 1957 he married Grace E. Schnepp in Monticello, IN and she survives. He worked for RCA for 21 years and then Monon Trailer for over 17 years. Robert enjoyed doing puzzles, playing pogo games on the computer, watching basketball, playing Bingo and most of all volunteering at Heritage Healthcare. Along with his wife Grace, he is survived by his children: Ann Marie Viney (Vincent Dean Viney), Marilyn Elizabeth Riley (Kevin Riley) and Shirley Diana Phillips (Dave Phillips) all of Monticello; sister Diane Dilling (Mike Dilling) of Monticello, brothers George Cook of Buffalo and Bill Cook of Wisconsin. He is also survived by six grandchildren Holly Sherry (Jason Sherry), Sheena Schnepp (Jeff Schnepp), Tiffany Noe (Jon Noe), Ashely Black, JR Shackelford, Bobby Shackelford, six greatgrandchildren Kirstin Sherry, Dalton Sherry, Autumn Schnepp, Brady Schnepp, Hannah Schnepp, Keegan Shackelford, and one great-great grandchild Anastasia Sherry. Robert is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Glen and Alvin Cook, and two sisters Nancy Cook Dilling and Mary Hecking. A Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends, as well as a Graveside service at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens will be held at a later date.
