Nathaniel Tyler Owens, 31, of Ellettsville, passed away on March 24, 2020 at his home. Nate was a member of Saint John’s The Apostle Catholic Church. Nate graduated in 2007 from Edgewood High School with honors. Nate had a big heart and a deep soul. Nate never knew a stranger and was always helping others in need. Nate loved his family and his friends. Nate enjoyed music, going to IU sports, and hikes at Lake Monroe and in nature. Nate had worked for Cassidy Electric and had been in the IBEW apprentice program. In recent years, Nate had worked for Rose & Walker Supply, L & W Supply and most recent was the branch manager for RWS Insulation. Nate is preceded in death by his grandfather, Charles W. Owens, uncle, Robert Birchler II, aunt, Beth Ann Birchler, and his best friend, Haley Horton, who he missed dearly. Nate is survived by his parents, Charles J. and Susan K. Owens; brother, Brandon Owens; grandparents, Robert and Carol Birchler, Forrest and Judy Cooper; aunts, Melanie Delfore (Terry), Becky Walls (Gary); and his cousins, Kyli, Alyssa, Tiffany and Lauren. Nate is now free from his earthly bonds. May his soul rest in peace in God’s loving arms. A memorial funeral mass will be held at a later date. A private family burial will be held at Valhalla Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes to have contributions made to Nate’s favorite charities Riley’s Children’s Hospital and The Salvation Army. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S.
