Millinocket – Michael K. Pooler, 67, died Thursday, February 27, 2020 in Millinocket. He was born October 4, 1952 in Bangor, the son of Harvey and Eleanor Pooler. Mike grew up in Fairfield, and was a graduate of Lawrence High School, class of 1970. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army for a period of time. He then returned to Maine, eventually working for the Great Northern Paper Company in Millinocket until the early 2000’s, when he obtained his Master’s Plumbers License and operated his own plumbing service business until recently. Mike was a member of the Millinocket Elks Lodge #1521. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time at “The Mayor’s Office” at camp, riding his motorcycle, and maintaining an active lifestyle in general. He will be missed by many. Mike is survived by a daughter, Sonja Pooler of Naples; a half sister, Debbie Desautels and her husband Marty of Connecticut; and his canine companion, Bailey. He was predeceased by his parents, and a sister, Allison M. Jackson. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at a date to be announced. Arrangements are by Lamson Funeral Home, Millinocket.
