Obituary Michael J. “Mike” Claise, 65, a wonderful husband and father, passed away on March 14, 2020 lovingly surrounded by his family. He was born December 31, 1954 in Tell City, son of the late Herbert and Martha Lee (Coyle) Claise. Also preceding him in death was his sister, Marilyn Phillips. While growing up in Cannelton, he and his family were members of St. Michael Catholic Church. Mike was a 1973 graduate of Cannelton High School and had an Associate Degree from Vincennes University. He was U.S. Air Force veteran and was united in marriage on July 29, 1978, in Hawesville, Kentucky to Trena White. He enjoyed mowing grass, fishing, woodworking, going to Disney World, walking his dog, Charlie and being with his family. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Trena Claise; daughter, Katie Kirk, her husband Lee and their son, Oliver of Owensboro and son, Ethan Michael Claise of Hawesville. As per Mike’s wishes there will be no funeral services. Huber Funeral Home, Cannelton Chapel, is handling his arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner’s Hospital or St. Michael Catholic Church in Cannelton.
