Matthew Liber, 53, of Salem passed away on March 2, 2020. Born in Mannington, Matt was the son of Robert & Jane (Garrison) Liber. Matt was employed through PSE&G as a security guard but also worked as a substitute teacher for both the Woodstown and Alloway School Systems. Matt never thought of being at the schools as work, he thoroughly enjoyed being with the kids, teaching and serving as a mentor. If you knew him, you knew he was an outdoorsman. Whether it was hunting, trapping, fishing, clamming or crabbing he did it all. Matt also served as a Deacon at Pittsgrove Baptist Church and was a huge Dallas Cowboys fan. He is survived by his wife MaryAnn, children, Matthew Jr., Charity and Jack; his father, Robert; siblings, Kevin (Beth), Linda Valentine (Joe) and Wayne (Rebecca) as well as his granddaughter, Autumn. His mother Jane predeceased him. Services will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at the Pittsgrove Baptist Church, 368 Daretown Rd., Elmer, NJ 08318. The viewing will begin at 9 AM with the service following at 11 AM. Burial will take place in the church cemetery following the service.
