Gincott, 93, of Route 426, Corry, Pa., died Monday, March 30, 2020 at her home. She was born April 25, 1926 in Clymer, N.Y., a daughter of the late Walter and Mary Orzib Zajonc. Mary was raised and educated in Clymer, N.Y., and graduated from Clymer School. She worked for Raymond Manufacturing and later for Corry Foam where she worked for many years until she retired in 1980. Mary was the longest living member of the American Legion and was also a member of the Corry VFW. She enjoyed cooking, and loved birds, flowers and her Manhattans. She especially loved her boys and grandson. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death September 30, 1981 by her husband, Carl M. Gincott, whom she married April 3, 1948 in Corry, Pa.; her companion, Howard Ross; a son, Todd M. Gincott; three sisters, Sophie Craker, Faye Slava and Dorothy Fitch; and three brothers, Steve Zajac, John Zajonc and Walter Zojonc. Mary is survived by a son, Greg Gincott and his wife Kristen of Corry, Pa.; a daughter-in-law, Mary Verity of Columbus, Pa.; a sister Lilly Mason of San Diego, Ca.; a brother, Frankie Zajonc of Philomath, OR.; a grandson, Preston Gincott of Columbus, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Services are being held privately by her family. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Pa. Memorials may be made to Hospice at Community Nursing Services of North East, 7 Park Street, North East, PA. 16428, and the American Legion Post #365, 1460 Sciota Rd., Corry, PA. 16407.
