Martha L. Tuttle, 91, of Columbus, passed from this life at 3:11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 at Silver Oaks Health Campus in Columbus. Mrs. Tuttle was born October 26, 1928, in Decatur County, the daughter of Robert T. and Mary Moore Parker. Martha married Harley Tuttle January 1, 1950. He preceded her in death September 22, 2005. Mrs. Tuttle retired from Southern Machine Company in 1990 after 23 years of service. She was a member of Burnsville Christian Church, Burnsville Christian Women’s Circle and 6 Quilts of Valor. Survivors include her daughters, Kathryn (Kurt) Robinson of Raleigh, NC and Lucinda (Robert A.) Taylor of Newburgh, IN; grandsons, Robert C. Taylor and Kristofor A. (Emily) Robinson; 5 great-grandchildren; 6 nieces; 9 nephews; and her sisters, Elizabeth Reed of Greensburg and Barbara Smiley both of Greensburg. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Howard Parker; and a sister, Polly McCreary. The funeral will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Barkes, Weaver & Glick Funeral Home on Washington Street with the Revs. Marcus D. Speer and E. Reeves Flint officiating. Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday and noon to time of service Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. The family request that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made to Burnsville Christian Church or Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
