Juan married Carmen Constante, his high school sweetheart in 1971. After moving to Woodburn, Juan began working as an auto mechanic in Portland, for Les Schwab, Fiber Fab, and worked over 23 years as the caretaker and manager of St. Luke’s Cemetery. Over the years, the couple welcomed 4 children into their home and Juan set about teaching them many skills like working on cars, fixing things around the house, how to grill chicken, and service to others.
