James Howard Ratliff Sarepta, LA James Howard Ratliff, age 82, of Sarepta, LA went to be home with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, March 29, 2020 with his family by his side. He is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Dellia Ratliff and two brothers, Robert and Leonard. A private graveside service will be held at Union Springs Cemetery with Rev. Jake Vandenberg officiating. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Cullen, LA, a devoted husband and father who served his country in the U. S. Air Force. He also served his community by being a rural mail carrier for Shongaloo, LA retiring after 29 years of service. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Glennie Sullivan Ratliff, of Sarepta, LA; four sons, Paul Ratliff and wife, Carol of Swoope, VA; Gerald Ratliff and wife, Sarah of Sarepta, LA; Kevin Ratliff of Sarepta, LA and, son, Jason Ratliff and wife, Pamela of Springhill, LA; four brothers, William Ratliff of Wallington, NJ; Joe Ratliff and wife, Gail of Piscataway, NJ; Edward Ratliff and Ruben Ratliff both of Sarepta, LA; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
