Obituary James “Jimmy” Charles Langley 87, of Lawrenceburg, Indiana, formerly of Aurora, passed away Thursday March 12, 2020 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. He was born March 26, 1932 in Aurora, IN, son of the late James Langley and Gertrude (Fehling) Langley. James is remembered for his ready smile and frequent laughter. He found humor in simple things. Jimmy had a prodigious memory and the ability to immediately recall facts and details from the otherwise forgotten past. He met life with kindness and gentleness and was a faithful member of St Mary’s Catholic Church. James is survived by sister, Ruth Mary Kern of Aurora, IN; nephews, Dennis Kern of San Francisco, CA, Patrick Kern of Guilford, IN, Barry Kern of Lawrenceburg, IN; nieces, Angela Miller of Aurora, IN, and Bridget Schoo of Ridgway, CO. He was preceded in death by father, James Langley, and mother, Gertrude Langley. Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana. Contributions may be made to the Pine Knoll Assisted Living Center. If unable to attend services, please call the funeral home office at (812) 926-1450 and we will notify the family of your donation with a card.
