Obituary Giovanni Castellana, 75, a resident of Port Chester, NY died March 27, 2020. He was born in Putignano, Bari, Italy to the late Giuseppe Castellana and Lucia Campanella Castellana. He was raised and educated in Italy and served in the Italian Army. Mr. Castellana was married to Vita Stile on December 28, 1967 in Italy. He immigrated to the United States in 1971. He was a retired auto body technician for Post Road Auto Body in Cos Cob, Ct. Mr. Castellana was a parishioner of the Our Lady of Mercy Church in Port Chester and a member of the Italian Club. He is survived by his devoted wife Vita Castellana of Port Chester, His devoted children Lucia Castellana and her husband Anthony Mazzella of Orangebug, NY, Joseph Castellana and wife Louann of West Harrison, NY and John Castellana of Rye Brook, NY, grandchildren, Anthony Mazzella, Vianna Mazzella, Joseph Castellana and Gabrielle Castellana, sister Antonia Castellana of Italy, sister in law Rose Castellana of Greenwich, CT, nephews and niece Joseph Castellana, John Castellana, Lucille Zaccardo and Vincent Castellana and his granddog Mia. Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic all funeral services are private. A memorial mass at Parish of Saint John Bosco (Our Lady of Mercy) will be announces at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Diabetes Association.
