Obituary Emmett A. Bowman, Jr., 68, passed away March 24, 2020 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. Born March 25 1951 in Tell City he was the son of the late Emmett A. and Ellen Covey Bowman, Sr . He was married to Tavie Jewell Brooks who preceded hi in death. He was retired from Schwab Safe Company in Cannelton where he served as union president for 10 years. Emmett enjoyed astronomy, Lionel trains, reading the bible and was of the Catholic faith. Survivors include his son, Hubert DeWayne Hubert of Evansville, IN; a step-son, Gary (Peggy) Huffines of Tell City; sisters, Beverly (Carroll) Craig of Hawesville, KY, Kathryn (Tom) Bulich of Evansville, IN, Jean (Pat) Haney of Leopold, IN, Velma Humphrey of Tell City, Rita Bowman of Evansville, IN; several grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, his god-daughter, Melody (David) Cross, and a great nephew, Michael Allen Poehlein. Preceding him in death in addition to his wife and parents is a step-daughter, Jeanett Arnold. A memorial service will be held at a later date. To plant a tree in memory of Emmett A.
