Mllinocket and Warwick, Rhode Island – Earlene Sawyer, 83, wife of the late Carl W. Sawyer, died Friday, March 13,2020 in Warwick, Rhode Island with her loving family by her side. She was born April 25, 1936 in Millinocket, the daughter of Earl and Bertha (Pratt) Russell. Neanie grew up in Millinocket, and was a graduate of Stearns High School, class of 1954. She was a communicant of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Millinocket, and was a member of the Millinocket Elks Lodge #1521. She is survived by four daughters, Terry Lynn Sportelli, Carla J. Bean and her husband Richard, Lori A. Fitzgerald, all of Rhode Island, and Tori Brown of Greenfield, Maine. She has nine grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren with one on the way, and lots of nieces, nephews, and cousins. All of whom loved and cherished her. Friends are invited to visit with the family 4 – 7 P.M. Wednesday, March 18 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M. Thursday, March 19 at Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, with the Rev. Bruce Siket, pastor, presider. Spring interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. Gifts in memory of Neanie may be sent to the Funeral Luncheons at St. Martin of Tours Church, 19 Colby Street, Millinocket, ME. 04462.
