Alvey, David Allen, 64 of Louisville, passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2020. He was a member of the Air Force during the Viet Nam era, retiring with honors after 14 years of service to our nation. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Edna Parsons Alvey. David had a zest for life we all could learn from – always taking the opportunity to learn, laugh, or experience something new. His life was full of love and friendship. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday, March 10th at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. Funeral services will be held at 11am at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, Kentucky. He is survived by his husband, Ryan Benningfield; siblings, Darlene Sims and Raymond Alvey; his close friend, Ron McCauley and many others from his chosen family.
