Governor Cooper has issued a “Stay at Home” proclamation for our entire state. Funeral Service employees are considered “Essential Workers”. That means that in times of peril and national emergencies we are expected (We are Honored) to continue to provide our “essential service” to our community. We ask that you assist us in keeping our community as safe as humanly possible by following safety precautions that we are enacting beginning Wednesday, April 1, 2020: Only graveside and cremation services will be available (No Church services. Its much too difficult for churches to sanitize such large facilities) There will be no chairs at graveside services. As little as possible for virus to attach to. Gatherings will be limited to 10 people. No home set-ups (Limited to door badge, street sign, register stand & book, which few should be signing) No public viewing at the funeral home (Limited to immediate family members only). Funeral arrangements and consultations limited to three people. Limousine service (Only when absolutely necessary/elderly or handicapped) limited to 4 people per vehicle. No Repast: Employee will not attend. You are on your own. We have a professional and moral obligation to serve and protect our community. We are here ready to do our civic duty – BUT please treat this CORONA VIRUS with the utmost respect and caution. This virus will KILL you. These precautions are simple an effort to save your life and they will not be lifted until a vaccine is found to better protect you. Know that we love you and wish you “Good Health”. STAY AT HOME!!! Practice Hand-Washing and Social Distancing of six feet. NO HAND-SHAKING and NO HUGGING. It’s a NEW day – we must live a NEW way. In the interest of public health, new restrictions may become necessary.
