Charles’ Obituary Charles Edward Garrison, 81, of Orange, Texas passed away Saturday, March 14, 2020 at his residence. Charles was born October 18, 1938 in Orangefield, Texas to Hugh Garrison and Agnes Richard Garrison. He had received his Bachelor’s Degree and worked for DuPont as a Superintendent for 35+ years before retiring. He is survived by his bride of 39 years, Mary Dell Garrison; sons, Chuck Garrison of Colorado and Keith Barclay of Orange; daughters, Melissa Embrey and husband, Archie, of DeRidder, La., Belinda Iles of Orange, Carol Barclay of Mauriceville, and Sherri Garrison of Silsbee; sister, Susie Garrison Ogg of Orangefield; eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Jeanette Garrison Snelson and husband, Pete and Marviana (Sis) Garrison McCarthy and husbands, Tom McCarthy and Dan Rider; brother, Mike Garrison and wife, Dorothy; son, Terry Barclay; and granddaughter, Erica Jazz Hymel. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020 at Fairdale Baptist Church, 4820 Fairdale Road, Hemphill, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Bo Owens officiating. Visitation will begin one hour prior to service time. Burial will follow services in Mt. Sinai Cemetery with Aaron Iles, Caleb Iles, Beau Embrey, Justin Barclay, Taylor Barclay, and Steve Ogg serving as pallbearers.
