Obituary Carl Hensley, 82, of Paris Crossing, passed away at 4:02 p.m. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020, at Sawyer-Pickett Funeral and Cremation Service. Rev. Dave Schill will be officiating. Burial will be in the Cana Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at the funeral home. Born December 4, 1937, in Pineville, Kentucky, Carl was the son of Roy and Nola (Brumett) Hensley. Carl was a “jack of all trades” having worked several different jobs over the years, Arvins for 20 years, Graham Creek School, Uniontown 76 Service Station, and was also a Restaurant business owner. He served his country in the Navy from 1956 to 1960. Carl was a member of the Cana Methodist Church. He was avid UK Fan and enjoyed mowing grass, gardening, and cooking. Carl is survived by brothers, Earl Hensley of Paris Crossing, and Ralph Hensley of Winterhaven, FL; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Nola Hensley; brothers, Clyde Hensley, Roy Hensley, Billy Hensley, Otis Hensley, Frank Hensley, and Jerry Hensley; sister, Barbara Hensley.
