Obituary Betty Ann Wells, age 80, of Hodgenville, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020, at her residence. A loving mother and grandmother, she was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church and a former employee of Sunrise Manor Nursing Home. Betty was preceded in death by a son, James Keith Wells; her parents, Dewey and Pearl Sanders Childress; a sister, Francis Brown and a brother, Carlos Childress. She is survived by four daughters, Tina Marie (Luis) Rodriguez of Elizabethtown, Phyllis Ann (Terry) Wimp, of Cecilia and Norma Jean Benningfield and Deborah Gail (Kirby) Bennett, all of Hodgenville; a son, Roger Dale (Melanie) Wells of Hodgenville; three sisters, Sylvia Berg of Illinois and Barbara Brown and Mary Lou Purvis, both of Hodgenville; 14 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. In accordance with the Governor’s mandate, visitation and funeral services will be private with Terry Wimp officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Tabor Church Cemetery.
