Mr. Steven Mark Sterling, 70, of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2020. He was born in Seymour to the late Reginald Sterling and Roseann Waters. Steven was a graduate of Seymour High School. He was a retired lineman technician for Verizon. Steve was a former Marine, expert sharpshooter that served our country in the Vietnam conflict. He was a member of the VFW. He was a sports enthusiast that enjoyed watching IU basketball and Cincinnati Reds baseball. He enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. Steven is survived by his children, Shannon Davis, Shelly Sutton, Paul Sterling; 7 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings, Diana Schrader, Dennis Sterling, Mike Sterling, Debbie Sterling, Pamela Stammer, Erick Sterling, Christel Sterling; stepmother, Victoria Sterling as well as special friend, Janelle Clacamp. He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Erica Bowman (Sterling). Memorials may be written to American Heart Association or Red Sky Rescue, in care of Voss & Sons Funeral Service.
