Kenneth W. Stanton, 63, of Edinburgh, passed away at 8:57p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020 at Four Seasons Retirement Center. Kenny was born November 28, 1956, in Shelbyville, Indiana, the son of Robert and Therese Swift Stanton. Mr. Stanton worked in construction most of his life. In his later years, he worked for Summit Construction Company and was proud to help build the Pagoda Speedway. He loved to hunt mushrooms, fish and ride motorcycles. Kenny enjoyed doing his “own thing” throughout life and found peace in living a quiet lifestyle. Survivors include his siblings, Ray (Debi) Stanton of Scipio, Darlene (Chuck) Sturgeon of Flat Rock, Darrell Stanton of Plainfield, Angela Stanton of Florida, Lyle Stanton of Bloomington, Christopher Stanton of Oregon; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. In keeping with Kenny’s wishes, cremation will take place and there are no services scheduled at this time.
