Ola’s Obituary Ola Beatrice Matthews of El Dorado, AR, transcended this earthly life on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 at the age of 85 years old. After a short battle with lung cancer and other ailments, God released her from all pain and suffering. She had recently declared, “Life is fair, God is good and I am ready to see Him.” Ola B. was born on October 8, 1934, in Magnolia, AR. She was employed at Fairview Daycare, Carver Elementary and retired from High Capacity Products in El Dorado. She was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church (Cordell St.) and served for many years as a faithful member of the Usher Board. Ola B. was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Andrew Matthews, mother, Rosie Taylor, father, Rush Wright, sister, Lillie Mae Frazier and brother, Jimmy Ray Wheeler, and his children, Greg Wheeler, Michael Livingston, and Tina Briggs-Curley. She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Terry Wilson (Sharon); grandchildren: Cherise (Frank) McCall, Antony Fikes (Sharmaine), and Jereme Wilson; great-grandchildren: Zachary, Serenity, Xaria, Mason, Nalani, Zora and Layla; sister, Ruby Morris; niece Dierdre Harris, Joyce Wheeler, nephews Jimmy Wheeler, Jr., and Raymond Briggs, devoted friend, Lawrence Sanders, and countless others. An intimate celebration of her life will take place on Saturday, January 11th at 11 o’clock in the morning at the Chapel at the Cross Sims Mortuary.
