John Dale Cunningham, 76 of Wellsburg, WV, passed away at 7:00 PM on Monday, January 27, 2020 at the Mary Jane Brooks Valley Hospice North Care Center, Steubenville, OH. John was born on May 15, 1943 in Wheeling, WV. He was the son of the late Robert and Anne (Silvers) Cunningham. John worked as a mechanic for the former McGee Motors, Wellsburg, WV and later in life worked as a campground host. Many will remember John for his love of camping with his wife at Thomlinson Run State Park and Mt Wood in North Bend, WV. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his two sisters, Mary Pearl and Myra Winters. John is survived by his wife of 49 years, Darlene (Caldwell) Cunningham, four children, William “Bill” Ward and his wife, Susan of Sitka, Alaska, Tammy Holmes of Wellsburg, WV, Bonnie Olenick and her husband, Rick of Wellsburg, WV, and Robert “Dale” Cunningham and his wife, Tammi of Toronto, OH, ten grandchildren, Brittany, Brandie, Brooke, Jonathon, Casey, Calandra and her husband, Jesse, Seth, Tanner, Abby and Bryson, three great grandchildren, Daltan, Raelyn and Ronin, four siblings, William “Bill” Cunningham, Shirley Winters, Henry Cunningham and Paul Cunningham and his wife, Alice, and numerous nieces and nephews.
