Rev. Jerry Ray Catledge, 70, of Lancaster, husband of Patricia Blevins Catledge, passed away Wednesday, November, 2019 at his home. He was born May 17, 1949 in Lancaster, a son of the late Howard Wade Catledge, Sr. and Ruby Pauline Dawkins Catledge. Rev. Catledge pastored churches in Kingsport, TN, Johnson City, TN, Bamberg, SC, Kershaw, SC and Rock Hill, SC. He was a former FCF commander and had served as the FCF Archivist. In the 1970’s, he was in a gospel quartet, “The Advocates” who recorded “The Redemption Draweth Nigh.” A service to celebrate the life of Rev. Catledge will be held Saturday, November 30, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. Jimmy Lambert and Rev. Fran Peters officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park. Rev. Catledge is survived by his wife, Patricia Catledge of Lancaster; a son, Preston Howard Catledge and his wife Kimberly of Sumter; two brothers, Howard Catledge, Jr. of Lancaster and Robert Catledge and his wife Linda of Gastonia; and two grandchildren, Logan Stone Catledge and Alexander Cannon Catledge. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at the church and other times at the home.
