Williamsport, MD – Wayne Allen Smith, Sr., 65, of Williamsport, MD passed away on Monday, October 28, 2019 at Select Specialty Hospital in Camp Hill, PA. He was born on January 14, 1954 in Frederick, MD to Lelia Mae Flook Smith of Maugansville, MD and the late Gerald Leon Smith. He was a 1972 graduate of Boonsboro High School Boonsboro, MD. Wayne was previously employed by Staples Distribution Center Williamsport, MD. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, helping raise his grandchildren, and was an Avid Washington Redskins fan. Besides his mother he is survived by his wife Dottie Ray Stitley Smith whom he married on June 25, 1998; daughter Shannon L. Smith of Hagerstown, MD; son Wayne A. Smith, Jr. of Baltimore, MD; step- daughter Sherry L. Davis of Hagerstown, MD; step-son William F. Davis of Falling Waters, WV; sister Kathy V. Jones of Boonsboro, MD; brother Gary E. Smith of Gerrardstown, WV; brother Rick L. Smith of Cearfoss, MD; numerous grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren on the way. The family will receive friends at the Osborne Funeral Home 425 S. Concocheague St. Williamsport, MD on Thursday, October 31, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm. The funeral home will be open after 9:00 am on Thursday for the convenience of family and friends.
