Lloyd Dale Richards, 84, passed on Thursday September 26, 2019 while in the care of Hospice of the Panhandle. He was born on November 17, 1934 in Gatewood, WV to Maury L. and Clarice Richards. Lloyd served in the US army during the Korean War on the Korea demilitarized zone. He retired from James Rumsey Vocational and Technical Center in June 1988 as the Assistant Director of Finance. During his tenure at James Rumsey he was a recipient of the Governor’s award for outstanding vocational administrator. Preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother Earl Dean Richards. Lloyd is survived by his wife of 57 years Pat, son Lloyd jr., and wife Kim, daughters Melissa Stoey and husband Rich, and Dawn Schill and husband Scott. 5 grandchildren, Ian Napier and partner Amy Heyen, Samuel Richards and wife Aimee, Tyler Duke, Sarah Richards and son Benjamin, Kyle Lucas, and 1 sister Patricia Zielinski and husband Walter of Evanston Illinois.
