Mr. John Coleman, Jr. February 14, 1931 – September 4, 2019 Murray, Kentucky | Age 88 Mr. John Coleman, Jr., age 88, of Dexter, Kentucky, died on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, at his home. Mr. Coleman was born February 14, 1931, in Dawson Springs, Kentucky. He was retired from Ryan Milk Co. and was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses. Mr. Coleman was preceded in death by his parents, John and Florence Coleman; foster parents, Claude and Emmy Nelson; two sisters, Isabell Oliver and Ruby Coleman; three brothers, Orville Coleman, R.B. Coleman and Robert Coleman. Mr. Coleman is survived by his wife, Virginia Burkeen Coleman of Dexter, Kentucky, they married June 13, 1955, in Springfield, Tennessee; four daughters, Cindy Steen and husband, Jeff of Almo, Kentucky, Paula Sanders of Mayfield, Kentucky, Jennifer Carrico of Murray, Kentucky and Beth Henderson of Georgia; one son, Johnny Coleman and wife Susan of Dexter, Kentucky; twelve grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren survive. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Bro. John Frederick will officiate, and burial will follow in the Murray Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. till 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019, at the J.H. Churchill Funeral Home. Online condolences can be made at www.thejhchurchillfuneralhome.com
