Manuel P. Couto, 78, of Fall River, husband of Maria (Sousa) Couto, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Saint Anne’s Hospital. He was employed by The Foxoboro Company, East Bridgewater and was a member of St. Michael’s Club, Fall River. Manny cherished time spent with his family and enjoyed gardening and making his own wine. Besides his wife of 50 years, he leaves two sons, Jose M. Couto, Carlos Michael Couto and his wife Cheryl; a grandson, Aaron Michael Couto; a granddaughter, Jocelyne Couto; a brother, Albano Couto; a sister, Olga Pacheco; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Maria de Conceição Vieira do Couto and the son of the late Mariano and Alcinda (Vieira) Couto. Visitation will be held Sunday from 3:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Auclair Funeral Home, 690 South Main St. Fall River. His funeral will be held Monday at 9:00 A.M. from the funeral home, with a Funeral Mass at Espirito Santo Church, Alden St., at 10:00 A.M. Burial will take place in Saint Patrick Cemetery.
