Obituary of David B. Snyder David B. Snyder, 73, of Cassadaga passed away Friday (September 27, 2019) in St. Vincent’s Hospital, Erie, PA. A lifelong area resident he was born May 28, 1946 in Jamestown, the son of the late Kenneth and Esther Forrester Snyder. David was a 1964 graduate of Cassadaga Valley High School and in earlier years was employed by Quality Markets and co-owned and operated South Dayton Super Duper. Prior to retirement in 2006 he was employed by the Town of Stockton as Highway Superintendent. David played in various pool leagues and won numerous awards. He enjoyed motorcycles and his Harley Davidson. Surviving are his wife Nancy J. Thompson Snyder whom he married May 9, 1970 in Cassadaga; two sons: Jason (Michelle) Snyder of Shinglehouse, PA, Andrew (Kelly) Snyder of Cassadaga; four grandchildren: Jayden A. (William) Russell, Drew Snyder, Austin Snyder, Maverik Snyder and a sister Cindy (Dick) Catanese of Sinclairville. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers: Kenneth D. Snyder and Jake Snyder. The family will receive friends from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday in the Falconer Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held in Cassadaga Cemetery. Lay Pastor Chuck Wittenbrook will officiate. Memorials contributions may be donated to the Chautauqua Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 48, Frewsburg, NY 14738.
