J. “Jay” Smith, 65, of Wing, passed away Friday morning August 30, 2019 at his mother’s home in Wing. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday September 3rd from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Halston Brooks officiating the service. The interment will follow in Wing Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 PM Monday at Foreman Funeral Home. He is survived by his wife, Betty McCraney Smith of Wing and Evergreen; his mother, Burnette Bryan Smith of Wing; along with several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other extended family. He is preceded in death by his father, J.A. Smith; his son Jamie Arron Smith, both of Wing; his mother-in-law, Myrtle Ross McCraney of Evergreen. Pallbearers will be Chris Mitchell, Josh McCraney, Scotty McCraney, Peyton McCraney, Paul Smith, and Donnie Bryan Honorary Pallbearer will be Blondale McCraney.
