He was born on January 29, 1983 in Rome, Georgia. Mr. Rice is survived by his wife, Shelley Katherine Downs Rice; mother, Patty Cole; father, David Scott Rice, Sr.; daughter, Tristan Ansley Rice; step daughter, Lynleigh Cosper (Jonah); step son, Cody Rhodes; brothers, Douglas Bryan Rice (Carea) and Jarrod Cochran (Tonya); grandson, Carsen Cosper; niece, Dempsey Lynn Rice, and nephew, Jimmi Douglas Rice. Mr. Rice is preceded in death by his sister, Jamie Cox. The funeral arrangements for Mr. Scott Rice will be held on Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at two o’clock in the afternoon from the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Corey Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Felton, Georgia. The family of Mr. Rice will receive family and friends on Monday, September 2, 2019 from five o’clock in the evening until eight o’clock in the evening at the Gammage Funeral Home. The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Ron Pruitt, Benji Garcia, Jason Fenley, DeWayne Roberson, Dalton Puckett, and Tommy Jones. Honorary Pallbearers are all of Scott’s friends. Flowers are being accepted however memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with final expenses.
