David Eugene Slovinsky, 79, Sagamore, passed away Tuesday, August 6, 2019 while at Beacon Ridge Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility. The son of George and Catherine (Gundy) Slovinsky, he was born March 15, 1940 in Sagamore, PA. David was employed at R&P Coal Company for 29 years. He was also employed by GM in Ohio and New York as well as Bruno’s in Indiana. Surviving is his wife, Penny (Hachick) Slovinsky; daughters, Catherine Houser and Tammi Slovinsky; grandchildren, Tori and David Houser and Tatum Olin; siblings, Catherine Lewis, Rita Juart, Joe Slovinsky, Mike (Carol) Slovinsky; and numerous nieces and nephews. David was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Delmas Slovinsky, John (Anne) Slovinsky, Paul (Helen) Slovinsky, Donald (Jenny) Slovinsky, George (Irene) Slovinsky, Steve (Carol) Slovinsky, and Lillian Krecota. Friends and family are invited to celebrate David’s life on Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the John A. Lefdahl Funeral Home. A blessing service will immediately follow in the Lefdahl Chapel.
