Mrs. Adrine Laverne Robertson Banks, 47, of Chase City, VA entered eternal rest Saturday, August 10, 2019 at CJW Chippenham Hospital, Richmond, VA. Mrs. Banks was born in South Hill, VA July 28, 1972 to Charles and Landora Robertson. She attended Bluestone Senior High School, and was a member of Berean Baptist Church, Chase City, VA. In Adrines’ spare time, she enjoyed cooking, walking, reading, and spending time with family. Mrs. Banks was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Walter and Ella Maurice Goode; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Ruby Robertson; a niece, Sameia Snead, and a close cousin, Steven Thompson. She leaves not to mourn her passing, but to cherish precious memories, her husband, Joe L. Banks of Chase City, VA; three daughters, Laqwetta Robertson of Richmond, VA, Jasmine Banks of Chase City, VA and Jade Banks of Meherrin, VA; five grandchildren; her parents, Charles Robertson (Thelma) of South Hill, VA and Landora Sanchez (Jose) of Chase City, VA; two sisters, Connie R. Tucker (Prince) of Atlanta, GA and Rosalind B. Birchett (Stacey) of Petersburg, VA; two brothers, Jermaine Robertson of Raleigh, NC and Terrance Tucker of Chase City, VA; mother and father-in-law, Joe Banks, Sr. and Shirley Banks of Drakes Branch, VA; sister-in-law, Sharon Banks of Drakes Branch, VA; brother-in-law, Jeffrey Banks of Drakes Branch, VA, and a vast number of other loving relatives and caring friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Adrine L. Banks will be conducted 2:00 PM Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the chapel of Giles-Harris Funeral Home, Chase City, VA with Rev. Marvin Harris delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in Silone Memorial Garden, Chase City, VA. Public viewing for family and friends will be held on Friday from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. Arrangements are by Giles-Harris Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Chase City, VA.
