Richard Allen “Rick” Greene Sr, 73, of Rural Ashland, and formerly of Scheffield Lake, died Tuesday morning August 6, 2019 at University Hospital’s Seidman Cancer Center in Cleveland, after a brief illness. Rick was born June 7, 1946 in Cleveland, Ohio the son of the late Carl and Pauleen (nee Vetomsky) Greene. Rick was a proud Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He retired from the General Motors Parma Plant’s Maintenance Department after 30 years of service. Rick enjoyed fishing on Lake Erie and deer hunting. He is survived by his wife Deb (nee Flow) Greene, to whom he was married August 25, 1981. 2 sons; Eric Allen Greene of Cleveland, and Richard Allen Greene Jr of Lorain. 1 daughter; Aubrie Greene of Mount Vernon, 2 Grandchildren, 2 brothers; Patrick Greene of Colorado, Bruce Anderson of Columbia Station, OH, and 1 sister Barbara Kingsley of Florida. Per Rick’s wishes a Celebration of Life will be at his home Saturday, August 17, 2019 at 2 PM.
