James “Jim” Brown, 50 of Plano, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019. He was born February 1, 1969 in Dallas to James Curtis Brown Jr and Lelia Gillen Brown. He graduated from Mesquite High School in 1987 and from Texas A&M in 1992 with a Batchelors Degree in Business. He was a Finance Manager for car dealerships for 27 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Brown; children, Matthew Brown and Alex Brown; parents, James C. and Lelia Gillen Brown; brother, Jerry Brown and wife Amy; sister, Kimberlie Kinzler; sister in law, Sandra and John Sutton, Myriam and Mike Gagnon; nieces and nephews, Zachary, Carson, Colton Brown, Trevon and Covin Gagnon, Evan Smith. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncle, cousins and extended family. Visitation will be 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm Friday, July 26, 2019 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Michael Kempainen of First Baptist Church of Sunnyvale officiating.
