Thomas Anthony Frueh, 56, of Fox River Grove, Illinois. Beloved husband of Sophie Frueh, nee Pikul; cherished father of Drayson Helberg, loving son of Dorothy Frueh and Richard (Deborah) Frueh; devoted brother of Rick (Debbie) Frueh and Lisa (Jesse) Stoery; uncle and friend of many. It’s not easy to write a simple paragraph about Thom. Thom found hope, light and courage where there was none. The way he embraced life is beyond words. He was not going to let anything stand in his way or deter him from living life. From the way Thom greeted a stranger, a friend or a relative he found words that were loving, compassionate and uplifting. Thom made it a point to celebrate everyone around him. Thom loved life so much that he collected and surrounded himself with what he loved: his family, home, garden, music, a garage of collectibles — Harleys, boats, toys, glass art, hats, and whatever else caught his eye. Once he fell in love with you or it, you were then part of his life forever. Thom struggled with Type I Diabetes his whole life. Maybe because of this, he never discarded anything or anyone but instead gave many things a second chance at life. He created a home that reflected this loving and unique spirit. A fixture in his community, always found hanging out in the garage ready with conversation, Thom will be remembered by the many friends he collected along his way. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25, 2019 from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and on Wdenesday, June 26, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until time of funeral service 10:00 A.M. at Morizzo Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 2550 West Hassell Road, (Northeast corner of Barrington Road), Hoffman Estates, IL. 60169.
