June Darlene Wilson, 82, of Mount Vernon, Illinois passed away at 3:26 P.M. June 8, 2019 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born July 12, 1936 in Hammond, Indiana to the late Ray E. and Elsie L. (Chapman) Smith. She married Kenneth Ray Wilson on May 21, 1953 in Mount Vernon, Illinois and he preceded her in death on November 11, 2017. June is survived by her daughter, Darla Boone and husband, Mike of Mount Vernon; son, Kevin Wilson and wife, Diane of Woodlawn; grandchildren, Rae-Leigh Ellis and husband, David, Cody Boone and significant other, LaDawn Wheeler, Aaron Wilson and wife, Sarah, Ashleigh Wilson, and Joshua Wilson; step-grandchildren, Jeffery Lind and wife, Tina and Kelsey Ralls and husband, Josh; great-grandchildren, Allie Boone, Lucie Boone, Livie Boone, Zoey Ellis, Kadence Wilson, Jaxon Wilson, Myah Wilson, and Hadley Wilson; step-great-grandchildren, Anika Ralls, Owen Ralls, Payton Lind, and Parker Lind; sister, Mary Naney and husband, Eric of Opdyke; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Wilson was preceded in death by her stepfather, Hazel Sutton and daughter-in-law, Cheryl A. Wilson. Darlene was a member of the Lighthouse Baptist Church in Mount Vernon. She was dearly loved and will be missed by all who knew her. A Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, Illinois. A Funeral Service will follow at 11:00A.M. Thursday, June 13, 2019 at Hughey Funeral Home with Reverend Rodney Mellott officiating. Interment will follow at Bethel Memorial Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Illinois.
