Joan Marie Johnson, age 69, of Johnstown, passed away Sunday June 23, 2019 at Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville. She was the daughter of the late John Henry Christman and Darlene Irene Shannon Christman. Joan was employed at the Lee dye company and was most recently employed as a CNA with the Wells Nursing Home until the onset of illness. She enjoyed playing POGO on her computer crocheting and caring for her two cats and dog “Buster” Survivors include her son John Johnson: two brothers Roger Christman and John Christman; six sisters Jane Robar, Madelynn Orapello, Marcia Blood, Robyn Zea, Janet Blood and Alice Ault; two grandchildren Pricilla and Zachary Johnson; four great granddaughters, her best friend Heidi McCoy; nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents; she was predeceased by her husband John Johnson Sr., a daughter Deborah Ann Johnson who passed on January 2, 1989; a brother Jim Christman and a sister Diane Surnear. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Fern Dale Cemetery, Johnstown. Arrangements have been entrusted to the A.G. Cole Funeral Home, Inc. 215 East Main Street, Johnstown.
